Censored on The Search for 1 in 100 Elderly with Autism

    "Where are the adults whose autism symptoms are undeniable? Where are the adults in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who don't talk, are in diapers, bang holes in walls, and stim and scream for hours on end?"

    Well, certainly in 1983 there were at least four wards of them at Storthes Hall Hospital, Huddersfield (UK) - I was doing work experience there, and I met and worked with many of them. A profoundly distressing experience.
