Keepon Keepin' On

I thought I'd take a brief break from talking about downers like infectious diseases and doctors and their families taking advantage of autistic children and their parents. Instead, let's talk about robots.

The latest episode of the Skeptics' Guide to the Universe (episode #303) had the rogues talking about robots and how people respond to being touched by one. I won't go into an in-depth analysis of what they said, opting instead for something a bit less, well, deep.

Keepon.

What is Keepon, you ask? (Well, maybe you don't, but just go with it for now.) Keepon is a little yellow robot designed by Hideki Kozima and Marek Michalowski to study social development by interacting with kids. SGU Rogue and Skepchick Rebecca Watson mentioned a 2007 video of Keepon dancing to Spoon's "I Turn My Camera On." Since I hadn't heard of the little yellow 'bot, I decided to search on Google for it.

Without further ado, I herewith present, Keepon:

The sad thing is that this thing has better dance moves than me.
