Please indicate where the GMC rulings were in error, with supporting evidence, as you understand it. Please provide page and item number references.

I agree that the media should dig into the monkey study. A good adjunct to their examination would be this article: http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/?p=1989

As to performing a vaccinated vs. unvaccinated study, another good article describing the issues to consider can be found here: http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/?p=939

"Is it coincidence that the monkey study is currently being submitted to medical journals for review and publication?"

Very likely, yes, since the GMC investigation began about two years ago, IIRC.

Frankly, I find it mind-boggling that people can unquestioningly support an individual who grossly violated the principles of ethical human research (drawing blood from children at a party without getting ethics board approval, performing risky invasive medical procedures when such were not in the best interests of the patients, etc.).

"Despite rampant misreporting, Dr. Wakefield’s original paper regarding 12 children with severe bowel disease and autism never rendered any judgment whatsoever on whether or not vaccines cause autism"

His paper may not have, but Wakefield, in press releases and public statements, strongly represented his research as implicating MMR as a cause of autism. And many people, such as Age of Autism, have very vocally touted his study as proving that MMR caused autism.

Wakefield and parents of children with autism around the world are being subjected to a remarkable media campaign engineered by vaccine manufacturers reporting on the retraction of a paper published in The Lancet in 1998 by Dr. Wakefield and his colleagues."

Oh no, what is next? Are the vaccine manufacturers in league with the Zionist sympathizing aliens who beam mind control microwaves into people's heads through their fillings?

What evidence can you give for this claim that a global media conspiracy engineered by vaccine makers exists? If the answer is coincidental timing and idle speculation, you are no different from those who believe that the moon landing was a fake.

Becoming a conspiracy theorist potentially undermines your ability to do good for the very people you wish to help.
