    Perhaps the answer lies more with the media. They want fluff pieces that will bring in the ratings. They aren't really interested in the science. Science is "boring". And, a researcher giving a very honest answer of "I don't know" doesn't stir people up.

    "None of the stories I presented said a word about preventing autism"

    In order to prevent autism, we actually need to know what causes autism. We don't know that yet, so we can't prevent it yet.
